Botswana Fly-In
Safaris
To fly in a small aircraft over the Okavango Delta is a spectacular experience. To see water in the middle of a desert is nothing short of a miracle, and chances are good of seeing elephants, hippos, giraffes, and buffaloes from above. It feels surreal. Many lodges are in concession areas, surrounded by water, or otherwise very difficult to reach by road. A great advantage to flying is that more time is available on the ground. Often, the flight transfers are no more than 10 to 40 minutes. This way of experiencing Botswana also allows for complete freedom in creating your itinerary. Remember, Botswana follows a low-quantity/high-quality tourism policy, which means the number of beds available is limited, especially in peak season (July to November). Therefore, we suggest you start planning your safari early.
